Unified CSI Chain of Custody (CoC) Version 2.6
Unified Chain of Custody Standard, V2.6 September 2025: (i) reflects the name and organizational change of Certified Seafood Collaborative’s Alaska RFM program to Certified Seafood International; (ii) incorporates sub-contractor Chain of Custody requirements previously addressed in a Variance Notification dated September 25, 2023; (iii) clarifies definitions of Subcontractor and Service Provider; and (iv) adds definitions related to Unpackaged at Point of Sale operations. Standard V2.6 has not changed significantly from the V2.5 December 2021. No requirements have been removed.
Current Chain of Custody client certifications will remain valid through their next scheduled audit.
Unpackaged POS (UPOS) Module for Unified CSI CoC Version 1.0
The Unpackaged at Point of Sale (UPOS) Module for Unified Chain of Custody v1.0 September 2025 is a new module that will be used in supply chains and by point-of-sale organizations that are selling seafood from certified fisheries. This Module was created to augment the Unified Chain of Custody program and provide an opportunity for Unpackaged at Point-of-Sale (UPOS) Organizations (e.g. at fresh case, restaurants, etc) to be certified to the Unified Chain of Custody Standard. This Module shall be used in conjunction with the existing Unified Chain of Custody Standard V2.6, or most current version, when certifying UPOS organizations. It applies and modifies several existing standard clauses while also adding additional process requirements for compliance.

- RFM CHAIN OF CUSTODY STANDARD VERSION 2.4 EFFECTIVE ON JANUARY 1, 2016. The RFM Chain of Custody Version 2.4 was approved by the ASMI Board in November 2015 for use beginning January 2016. V2.4 will be retired on January 1, 2023.
