Mark Fina

Mark Fina is a policy analyst for Silver Bay Seafoods and the Executive Director of the California Wetfish Producers Association, a trade association representing harvesters and processors in California’s coastal pelagic species (squid, sardine, anchovy, and mackerels) fisheries. Mark previously served as the Chairman of the Board for the Certified Seafood Collaborative, the owner of the Responsible Fisheries Management certification program. Prior to working in industry, Mark worked for over a decade as the Senior Economist for the North Pacific Fishery Management Council, where he worked on a variety of analyses including catch share programs for the Bering Sea and Aleutian Island crab fisheries, the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands multispecies groundfish fisheries, and the Central Gulf of Alaska rockfish fishery. Mark has a J.D. from the University of Minnesota and a Ph.D. in Agricultural and Applied Economics from Virginia Tech.
